CLOWN MINISTRY
Several adults and children are engaged in a clown ministry through the church. Our St. Paul’s No Foolin’ Around Clown Troupe, under the direction of Master Clown David Verduin, participates in Laurel Springs Day, Gloucester Township Day, the Christmas Parade, the Easter Eggstravaganza, as well as many other events here at St. Paul’s. They also wrote and acted the Thanksgiving Story. Each month, the clown ministry leads the Children’s Sermon during Wo
rship.
If you are interested in “clowning around,” making others lauth, and changing lives, then consider joining the No Foolin’ Around Clown Troupe. We meet on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. For more information, contact the church office at 856-783-1839.
MARRIED COUPLES RETREAT
Invest in your marriage. Each year, the congregation organizes a retreat for married couples at the Willow Valley resort in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The weekend includes a speaker, breakout sessions, meals and time to relax together. Shopping, golf, and sightseeing are all possible Saturday afternoon activities. This yearly event is planned for April.
AXIS… Centered on Christ!
AXIS is one of the newest groups of St. Paul’s. Our goal is to come together for Christ in a NEW way. MEN’S GROUP
The Men’s Group of St. Paul’s meets on the third Tuesday of each month in Fellowship Hall for their monthly dinner meeting. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by devotions and meeting time. Anyone interested in finding out more about the Men’s Group at St. Paul’s is welcome to attend.
One of the highlights of the Men’s Group is the spring retreat in the Poconos, a weekend of enjoying the mountains, Bible study, and relaxation. All men are invited. The Men’s Group also sponsors special meals, such as Youth Sunday breakfast, Veteran’s Day breakfast, Valentine’s dinner, and Good Friday breakfast for the community. MID-WEEK MINISTRY
Join us on Wednesday evenings for our Midweek Ministry program (September – March). Adults can choose from several learning opportunities. Children and youth can take part in clubs and classes as well. The opening program begins in the Sanctuary at 6:15 p.m., followed by classes and clubs at 6:30 p.m. Nursery care is available.
A home cooked dinner is available before the classes and clubs. The food is ready starting at 5:30 p.m. (Adults = $4, Children under 12 = $2, with a maximum of $10). Reservations are a must. Please call the church office at 856-783-1839 no later than 12:00 noon on Monday to reserve your spot.
Circle Wednesdays as another evening of opportunity to grow spiritually.
MOMS CLUB OF BLACKWOOD
This group meets monthly at St. Paul’s. Are you a stay-at-home mom looking for things to do with your younger children during the day? The MOMS Club offers many activities including playgroups, park days, trips to local kid fun spots, and monthly meetings with a speaker or activity. The Blackwood chapter covers all of Gloucester Township and some of the surrounding towns. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month (September to June) in Fellowship Hall. MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS (MOPS)
Mothers of preschoolers are invited to St. Paul’s, which hosts a local chapter of the national organization known as MOPS. Moms with children ages birth through kindergarten gather twice a month to feel the joy, friendship and support this group offers to mothers. MOPS meets in Fellowship Hall from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Childcare is provided during the meetings. Your child will be lovingly taken care of while you get to know other mothers, listen to speakers, engage in crafts, and feel the support of older women mentors.

MOPS CRAFT NIGHTS
MOPS also hosts Craft Nights on the first Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the “Red House” – 419 Park Avenue. Everyone is welcome. Bring a craft to work on, and enjoy fellowship with other moms. ST. PAUL’S WORSHIP CHOIR
St. Paul’s hosts a large, active, adult choir of 35 members, which sings at the 11:00 am. worship service on Sundays, led by Director of Music Jane Emely- Roach. The choir also performs major musical works and Cantatas yearly. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:45 p.m. Choir members can also participate in the Keswick Sing, a regional monthly music gathering. In August, choir members love attending Music in the Mountains, a training and learning music event in Pennsylvania. Throughout the year, individual soloists and groups also provide a variety of musical styles and numbers.
ST. PAUL’S BELL CHOIR
The Bell Choir plays in worship monthly, under the direction of Bob D’Errico. The 9 member Bell choir has a wide range of ages, from teens to retired. Previous bell ringing and music reading experience is NOT necessary; we’ll teach you how to ring and read! The Bell Choir rehearses on Monday nights from 6:45 – 8:15 downstairs in the Sunday School Common Area. PRESBYTERIAN WOMENS’ GROUPS (PW)
There are seven women’s groups in the Presbyterian Women’s organization at our church, known as Circles. Each Circle meets monthly for Bible Study, fellowship, missions projects, giving, and prayer. The Circles range in size from 10 to 30. Some meet in the evenings, others during the day. The groups also sponsor Christmas gifts to children in Camden, establish connections with residents of the Haddonfield Senior Home, and sponsor various collections for local charities. Each group extends an open invitation to guests and visitors. Contact the church office at 856-783-1839 to leave a message for Anna Bogardus if you need additional information. TUESDAY MISSION ASSOCIATION (TMA)
Tuesday Mission Association meets every Tuesday morning in Fellowship Hall to work on various projects for needy causes. Crafts, such as quilts, blankets, baby hats and sweaters are made and given to hospitals, nursing homes, social service organizations, and other Christian ministries. Various craft items are also made and sold throughout the year to purchase supplies needed. The group meets weekly at 10:00 a.m., not only to work, but to share and talk. Lunch follows at 12:00 pm. While the group is mostly women, all are invited.
PRAYER MINISTRY
Prayer is important to the congregation. At each Session (church board) meeting, an elder is designated as the Prayer Facilitator for the evening. It is not uncommon for the facilitator to call the elders to prayer more than once during a meeting to seek God’s guidance and will.
St. Paul’s also hosts an on-going Phone Prayer Chain and an E-mail Prayer Chain for anyone in need of prayer. For more information or to initiate a prayer request through either the Phone or E-mail Prayer Chains, please contact the church office at 856-783-1839.
ART IN THE RED HOUSE
